They said about the Guitar Academy “Francisco Tárrega”
I have known for many years the excellent work done by Paolo Pegoraro and Stefano Viola at the “Francisco Tárrega” Guitar Academy.
They are both teachers of the highest quality. This is demonstrated by the high level that their pupils attain after studying there. I know of no other centre that has such a good quality across the board.
The young students amazed me from the first years I met them. They were very good technically but also so expressive and dramatic in their performances without exception. You could also sense that they enjoyed performing for others. This desire to be expressive and enjoyment of playing is the best tribute to the great work these teachers do with their pupils.
Recently I heard several of the former students who are now young concerts players and their playing of world class quality also shows the great teaching they received at the Academy

The first time I was invited by the Farandola Association to hold a masterclass at the “Francisco Tárrega” Guitar Academy, I was deeply surprised hearing so much finest students in one only day.
I think that the work done in this school is really fantastic; in my life I had never met a so high level in other places in the world.
I think that Paolo Pegoraro and Stefano Viola are two great guitar teachers, very important for this instrument.
Moreover, the great chance that this school offers inviting regularly the best international performers allows to the young students to have a continuous and constructive relation with the present concert world. I think that in this way is really possible to receive a perfect musical education.
Once again I should like to tell my appreciation for the deep work done at the Guitar Academy of Pordenone.

When the Masters Paolo Pegoraro and Stefano Viola first asked me to partecipate in the Festival they organize, I was extremely honoured and happy; the International Guitar Festival of Friuli Venezia Giulia was already known world-wide among guitarist as one of the best of its kind, both for the calibre of the artists invited to perform and for its light-hearted and lively atmosphere in which seminars and masterclasses are held – the standard of which have been unconditionally praised.
The masterclasses are open, not only to students of the Academy, but also to those from other institutions subject to an entrance examination, thus guaranteeing the maintenance of their high standard.
This shows the organizers determination to avoid a withdrawal into sterile provincialism and a desire to broaden the ever-increasing scale of this event. The large presence of foreign students in the Academy lays to waste any danger of provincialism and increases the amount of coverage dedicated to the Festival by the press.
Teachers are invited to hold seminars an subjects of great interest to the students. It is hardly surprising, in the light of this, that some of the most promising talent in the current guitar scene is to be found among the students of the Academy.
None of this would be possible without the Academy’s two teaches who are themselves both exceptional musicians as well as excellent teachers; this is reflected, without a doubt. In the extremely musical and exquisite playing of all the students of the Academy that I have had the honour and pleasure to teach.
